Equine Club Meeting

March 2, 2006

Meeting called to order at 12:15p.m.

   Treasurer’s report, current balance $7,038.55

            Motion to accept the treasurer’s report

Old Business:

    Poker ride has been moved to April 2^nd still at Gina Laforge’s Ranch.  $50 if you bring your own horse, $75 if you borrow a school horse.

New Business:

   Motion to reimburse Shannah Keyian for sodas and ice that she purchased for the meeting.

   Motion to repay Quizno’s when they bill us for lunch

   Kathy Scaduto donated a yearling halter for the poker ride prizes.  Need more donations to make the ride successful.

   Motion to purchase a T.V. for the equine unit ultrasound machine. So that classes can easily view the ultrasounds.

   Equine club shirts are for sale: $10 for short sleeve, $15 for long sleeve, $20 for a sweatshirt and $25 for a hooded sweatshirt. Contact Shannah Keyian if interested.

   Mounting block was donated by a lady to the equine unit, Shannah Keyian has more information that she will report on later.

   Shannah Keyian needs a $200 dollar check as an advance to purchase supplies for the poker ride.

Old Business:

• Club cards: Western Warehouse and Circle N need some way to identify the club members.  Club decided to reprint cards and have the members name printed on them.

• Report was given by Natalie Franks on the Christmas Family that we adopted and the success that it was.

New Business:

• Motion to elect Natalie Franks as Vice President

• Shannah Keyian moves up as our ICC representative, she also remains as Treasurer.

• Tentative date for the Poker Ride is set for Saturday, April 22^nd; deposits if you want to ride a school horse are due by the 22^nd of March in the amount of $25.

• Explanation of Ag Leadership given by Jamie Haynes and Richard Harris.

• Motion to pay Glicks for meat for Poker Ride and the bread from who we buy it from
